ADVANTAGE  III  Product Overview

• Completely programmable and highly repeatable extrusion coating process
• The system is designed to function in both R&D as well as production modes:
• Operator interface includes touch screen panel with graphical user interface (GUI).  All process recipe programming, process control, and monitoring is performed through the GUI.

   Coating Process Area  

• Polymer deposition through the latest in extrusion technology
• Completely automated extrusion head (die) preparation and maintenance
• Substrate chucks are available for a wide range of substrate sizes and types.  Maximum substrate size is 550mm x 670mm.  Chucks are available for both rigid substrates (typically 1.1, 0.7, or 0.55mm glass) and flexible substrates (thin stainless steel, polymer films, etc.). 
• The coater is equipped standard with a single extrusion die of coating width up to 550mm. 
• A servo controlled POH (Pump on Head) mounted near the extrusion head provides extremely precise metering of the process fluid through the die
• Non-contact optical sensors provide monitoring and feedback control of the coating gap
• Intermediate process fluid reservoir with level control and low level warning

Standard coating thickness:           0.100 - 30 microns (typical after soft bake) 
                                                       (Other thicknesses can be achieved, depending on process fluid)

Coat uniformity within substrate:    Baseline  --  +/- 5%
                                                        Target  --  < +/- 3%
                                                       (Uniformity of less than +/- 3% is achieved for most process fluids)
