After pioneering and becoming the world's premier supplier of Digital High Purity Fluid Dispensing Systems for high viscosity fluids in the microelectronics industry, FAS developed a liquid extrusion coater in 1988 for the microelectronics industry. Since that time, FAS's patented extrusion coating technology has gained global recognition as the leading technology for next-generation substrates.

In 1996, FAS received both the FAST Tech 50, and Dallas 100 awards. Though very few companies win such awards more than once in their company life, FAS was honored to receive the Dallas 100 award again in 1998.

At FAS corporate headquarters in Dallas, Texas, activities include research and development, production, manufacturing, sales, and marketing for domestic and international business. To support the growing business in the Far East, the company opened its first foreign office in Tokyo, Japan in 1994.
